Nurse Maude brings Cortex into community palliative care

Nurse Maude

Nurse Maude has signed a multi-year agreement to run Cortex across its hospice and community palliative care services. It’s the first deployment of the platform outside a hospital, and one we’re proud of: coordination matters nowhere more than in the care of people at the end of life, across teams that work in patients’ homes rather than on wards.

The community setting changes surprisingly little. The same patient timeline, the same tasks and living care plans, the same offline-first design, which matters even more when the nearest wireless network is two paddocks away.

Cortex now runs across the whole Christchurch Hospital campus, at Hawke’s Bay Hospital, and with rollouts underway at Burwood Hospital and on the West Coast. More than 6,000 clinicians use the platform each month across more than 50 departments.
