We're speaking at Southern Connections in Dunedin

On 29 July, HiNZ brings its regional events series to Dunedin Town Hall for Southern Connections, a one-day digital health workshop bringing together around 200 healthcare professionals from across the South Island.
We’ll be there, and we’re on the programme twice.
At 11:55am, Dr Christopher Rumball, Clinical Lead for Cortex, presents “Just Get Me Home — patient goals, interdisciplinary care, and what they demand of our systems.” It’s a talk about what patients actually want from a hospital stay, and what it takes for the systems clinicians use to serve that goal rather than get in its way.
Straight after, at 12:15pm, Chris joins the Regional Solutions panel on empowering clinicians, alongside Sonya Morice, Clinical Informatics Director at Health NZ, whose session on the regional digital roadmap for Te Waipounamu precedes ours.
The day covers a lot of ground worth hearing: the digitally enabled patient experience at the New Dunedin Hospital, AI in rural health and mental health reporting, telehealth, and pathways into the digital health workforce.
If you’re coming along, find us. We’d like to talk. Registration is via HiNZ.
